Having more self-doubt and insecurity lately?
Noticing a lower self-esteem than you used to have?
Has your self confidence disappeared?
Constantly comparing, and feeling not good enough?
You’re trying to stay positive and show a happy face to the world, but inside you’re anxious, depressed, and wondering where your can-do spirit went.
Whether due to aging, divorce, job lay off, mid-life changes or menopause, weight gain, or some other challenge, when confidence starts to slip you don’t feel like yourself anymore. And it may be impacting you more than you realize:
work performance suffers
marriage and parentingfeel like a struggle
confusion and overwhelming thoughts color your satisfaction and creativity
I know what this is like. I’ve been there myself. This started happening to me when I started going through perimenopause.
Self-Confidence and Menopause
As women enter midlife our bodies may be hot but we know longer feel “hot”, if you know what I mean. This is a natural transition but everything about it seems unnatural. For many women, it can be a nightmare for up to 10 years or more! Some women if they are lucky can breeze right through it; for others it can be the most anxiety provoking, emotionally unstable, spiritually challenging, physically uncomfortable, overwhelming and confusing time of their life. We no longer feel good about ourselves- both inside and out.
Besides coping with the emotional and physical changes we also have to cope with the daily challenges of our relationships, family, work, children’s issues, aging parents, empty nest and so on. We used to have the energy and confidence to do it all but now we don’t. At a time when we feel we need some caretaking we are still taking care of others.
I can help you through this.
Whether you are going through menopause or some other life transition, questioning whether you are good enough -- as most of us with confidence issues do – is a fast track to a super stress filled life. But if you are like some of my clients, you might be thinking that a little lack of self confidence is no big deal.
The reality is that when self confidence is injured, you start feeling afraid to take the necessary risks that made you a high achiever in the past. And that fear starts feeding on itself. It can impact health, relationships, success, and even promote aging and trouble getting back into shape.
You know negative thinking and constant comparison to others isn’t good for you. It’s not too late to turn this around and reclaim the vibrant self you have always been.
I can show you how to break free from nagging self doubt, and help you rebuild a strong sense of confidence again.
